Member Voice Thursday:How can we, as a college, a state, and society, afford to NOT support early childhood education and programs for Parent Education? Parent Education fills a critical role in early learning from providing affordable care and education along with early intervention, community building and outreach. Our seven cooperatives educate more than 500 students. Cutting our program leaves a gap for our college to have access to our student demographic. Cutting our program means workers are unable to earn a fair and living wage. Cutting our program means some will lose critical benefits.-Beth Edwards, Parent Education Instructor/Director#sccft1950 #aftwa #cooppreschool #saveourcoops ... See MoreSee Less

For students, families, and educators alike.Join us and #March4Communities:👉 go.aft.org/ProtectOurCommunities ... See MoreSee Less

What a gorgeous day! Today, I wanted to highlight a local business.Third Place Books! Located at the Lake Forest Park Town center. Stop in, have a bagel and tea from Honey Bear, then explore the book store! Highlighting book sections: Black history and Books against facismBlack history is American history. Studying fascism helps working people recognize warning signs. That access matters — especially at locally owned, employee‑owned bookstores like Third Place Books. ... See MoreSee Less
