SCCFT Hardship Fund

Purpose and Guidance

For the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year (September 1 – August 31), the SCCFT Executive board voted to create a pool of money for our faculty colleagues to access in case of hardship or emergency.

This fund is available to any faculty member of our bargaining unit that has taught at least one class at Shoreline in any of the previous four quarters (including Summer).

When requesting funding, please consider your needs as well as the needs of other faculty. We want this fund to be of maximal benefit to our faculty colleagues, while recognizing that it is finite.

Amounts and Processes

We have set aside $5,000 for this fiscal year. An individual can request any amount up to $599 and, if necessary, make multiple requests. Total amount requested cannot exceed $599 in a fiscal year (and of course, amounts can be less than $599). Available funds will be dispersed on a first-come-first-served basis.

To make a request, please send a message to Trevor Pelletier (Treasurer@sccft1950.com) including the amount requested, your name, and address. We will send a check to you by mail within 15 business days. Requests will be kept private, and we do not need you to disclose any reasons behind the request.
