Hello Shoreline faculty!

With all the local issues our school is currently facing this year, it's important to remember that what every college faculty member, administrator, and president should want is more money from Washington State. It's time to show up to town halls and picketing events this spring to make ourselves heard as the legislature works on putting together the 2019-2021 state budget:

FIRST: If you haven't already, sign up for the AFT Legisletter to stay up-to-date on what's happening down in Olympia:

SECOND: Go to a town hall meeting and wear your blue union shirt! Here are two important ones, and the first one is THIS SATURDAY.

MOST IMPACT:
43rd District Town Hall (Frank Chopp, who represents the 43rd district, is also Speaker of the House)
Saturday, March 16, 1:30 – 3 p.m.

SHORELINE'S DISTRICT:
32nd District Town Hall
Saturday, March 23, 2 – 3 p.m.

THIRD: Head down to Olympia!
Wednesday, March 27th, 10 - 6 p.m.

10am-3pm: Picket for more funding at the Sundial at the State Capitol

4:30pm: Attend the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges Meeting, which will include the Part-Time Best Practices Work Group Presentation
